Zubiri brothers show Bukidnon airport update; will Manoy run again?

Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri and his brother, former Bukidnon 3rd District Rep. Manuel “Manoy” Zubiri recently visited the upcoming Bukidnon airport located in the Municipality of Don Carlos. The brothers proudly showed the runway that’s currently being finished.

Senate President Migz Zubiri said that he and his brother have been planning for this most-awaited Bukidnon airport since 2016 but the project got delayed because of the global pandemic.

“Hopefully, God willing, matatapos na siya by 2025,” he said on a Facebook post, adding “malaking bagay po siya para sa turismo at investment opportunities ng aking home province of Bukidnon. Mas madali na po mag byahe papunta sa amin at kasama na dyan ang mga areas of Lanao, North Cotabato and Buda Davao. God bless the Philippines!! ????

Meanwhile, Manoy Zubiri told BukidnonOnline.com that “it’s our dream to have an airport. We worked hard for it especially Migs.”

Manoy, who ran for the Bukidnon gubernatorial seat but lost, told BukidnonOnline.com that although he is no longer an elected government official, he will continue to serve.

“You will see it as a private citizen,” he said, adding that “public service will always be in my heart.”

Before the pandemic, the proposed Don Carlos Bukidnon airport was supposed to have this design.
