Don Carlos, Bukidnon airport is taking shape! Photos shared by Don Carlos municipal councilor Jethro Pizzaro showed that the much-anticipated Bukidnon airport is steadily taking shape, bringing excitement to residents as well as travelers across Mindanao.

The Bukidnon airport is years in the making. Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri told Bukidnon Online in 2019 that the Don Carlos airport initial proposed design was a pineapple-inspired one.

Early this year, the first plane successfully landed along the airport strip.

With modern passenger facilities now nearing completion, the Bukidnon airport, located at Maray Maray, Don Carlos, is expected to boost tourism, improve connectivity, and open more economic opportunities for Bukidnon.

Target date of operations is set for December 2026.
