The program aims to expand the swine and breeder base while supporting local livelihoods through swine production.

Meanwhile, a focal person from the Agri department emphasized that the LGU will manage the provided agri interventions. This aid aims to repopulate Bukidnon’s swine industry, which suffered setbacks due to the looming threat of African Swine Fever in past years that affected neighboring provinces.

The DA launched INSPIRE to implement calibrated repopulation and enhancement of the local swine industry to recover the sector’s capacity to produce a sufficient supply of hogs and pork. (With a report from the MPMT/DA-10/PIA 10-Bukidnon)
