Talakag Bukidnon barangay chief, driver ambushed

Ok is it just me or is Bukidnon so popular these days and for all the wrong reasons?! It’s just so sad and unfortunate that the Bukidnon province is in the news these days not because of good things but because of accidents, ambushes, attacks, landslides and deaths.

Yesterday, something bad happened again. According to news reports, gunmen shot and killed the barangay chairman of Barangay Dominorog, Talakag, Bukidnon.

Fernando Nu-ol and his driver Cito Aranas were killed by alleged rebels. Nu-ol and Aranas succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

Two others were injured — Editha Aranas and David Palacio. The two also suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Nu-ol and his companions were allegedly attacked by rebels. They were on their way home from a seminar in Cagayan de Oro City.

According to police reports, 5 armed men strafed the vehicle.

And so my million dollar question now is…IS BUKIDNON STILL SAFE?!
