Before anything else, we’d just like to emphasize that the details that we got are all from online reports, tweets and casual exchanges of messages between friends. BukidnonOnline.com has not been furnished with any official statement from any government agency just yet. Still, we thought of sharing these infos with you.
The Province of Bukidnon was allegedly hit by a 5.2 magnitude earthquake today, November 7, 2011. The earthquake registered a strong 5.2 on the Richter scale. Residents in Valencia City Bukidnon reportedly felt the quake the strongest.
Malaybalay City Mayor Ignacio Zubiri said that he was able to talk to Valencia City Mayor Leandro
Catarata. Catarata reportedly told Zubiri that there are no casualties yet and that there was also an earthquake last Sunday at 2am. A landslide also occurred at Barangay Lumbayao.
Zubiri also said that there are reports of some buildings having cracks. Sources tell BukidnonOnline.com that Roy Plaza, a shopping complex in Valencia City, got toppled down while there were large cracks spotted along the walls of the Valencia Sanitarium Hospital. We have yet to verify these.
Please stay safe everyone.
