3 people missing at Gantungan Falls Impasug-ong Bukidnon
IMPASUGONG BUKIDNON | BUKIDNON NEWS – According to a press release from the Philippine Information Agency, 3 people have been declared missing since October 30, 2011 at Gantungan Falls.
Gantungan Falls is located at the Gantungan Cedar Creek in Barangay Impalutao, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.
According to news reports, six persons went swimming in the area when a sudden “flash flood” swept three of them. Unconfirmed reports even claim that one of the victims is the child of a big official of Negros Navigation.
Regional director of the Office of Civil Defense in Northern Mindanao Ana Caneda believes that the 3 may have drowned.
Most recent reports indicate that a body of a still unidentified male has been recovered from the area.
