Bulonay to Sitio Ulayanon, Malaybalay road soon to be finished

A 4.52-kilometer road from Barangay Bulonay, Impasugong to Sitio Ulayanon, Malaybalay City will soon be finished, making travel faster and more convenient especially for the locals in that remote area.

The road, said to be completed by summer 2020, is part of the most-awaited Malaybalay City to Gingoog City project.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar, in a department-issued statement, said that some areas in Malaybalay are only accessible through limited public transport. Only light vehicles can pass through.

“The new two-lane concrete road will give convenience to new commuters and at the same time would open more opportunities for the locals in the remote area because of faster travel,” Villar said.

The Malaybalay to Gingoog project covers Gingoog – Kalhaan, Claveria – Bulonay – Malaybalay. As of this writing, the project is ahead of its completion rate by 33 percent.
