Bukidnon provincial police chief, Malitbog police chief both fired
BUKIDNON CONTROVERSY | CRIME | MALITBOG | BUKIDNON NEWS – Both the Bukidnon Provincial Police Director Senior Supt. Cris Gonzalado and MalitbogĀ police chief Senior Inspector Alexander Eugenio got the ax after alleged rebels raided a police station in Malitbog Tuesday.
According to reports, at least 50 suspected communist rebels managed to grab at least 8 high powered firearms from the Malitbog police station.
The rebels allegedly raided the station at 4:30 pm Tuesday. One of the rebels allegedly wore an Army uniform, introduced himself as a soldier and reportedly told the cops on duty at Malitbog police station that he will file a complaint against someone.
Chief Supt. Conrado Laza, director of the Northern Mindanao Regional Police, also said that the policemen in Malitbog will undergo retraining.
Accordingly, there were only 6 cops on duty at the time of the raid.
