BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON ELECTIONS 2013 – Senatorial candidate and former Bukidnon congressman Juan Miguel Zubiri has denied that a press release attacking fellow candidate Koko Pimentel was sent out by his media team.

Bukidnon Online received a copy of the bogus press release earlier today, which claimed that Zubiri wanted Pimentel to “mind” his “own home and leave the Senate” to Zubiri.

When asked for a comment, Zubiri called Bukidnon Online and vehemently denied that his team sent out the said fake press release. Zubiri then sent an official statement:

“There is a fictitious email that is made to appear as a press release supposedly coming from Migz Zubiri that attacks Sen. Koko Pimentel. We completely deny releasing such statement and we will ask the NBI to immediately investigate the incident with their cybercrime group. This is an obvious last minute black propaganda against Migz to destroy his integrity.”

In the fake press release, Zubiri supposedly hit Pimentel’s “childish campaign.”

“This campaign he’s childishly waging against me just proves that the honorable senator cannot boast any achievements to the Filipino people, precisely because he has none,” the bogus press release said.
