7 soldiers dead in Bukidnon helicopter crash
Seven soldiers died Saturday afternoon after a Huey helicopter of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) crashed in Barangay Busdi, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The soldiers were all aboard the chopper when it crashed in a rice field at around 2:30 PM.
The PAF helicopter was 1 of 2 that brought supplies to the Impasugong unit of the 403rd Infantry Brigade.
The 2 choppers were able to successfully ferry supplies twice but on their 3rd run, the ill-fated helicopter was seen to have smoke emanating from the engine.

News reports state that the pilot made sure that they will not crash on houses. The chopper crashed on a rice field instead.

No names of the victims have been made certain as of this writing.
Four of the crash victims were from PAF while the remaining 3 were soldiers from the 403rd Brigade.
