Sixty Bukidnon policemen reassigned to Maguindanao
BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON UPDATES | GOVERNMENT | CONTROVERSIAL – A total of 60 policemen from Bukidnon have reportedly been reassigned to Maguindanao. This was confirmed by Bukidnon Provincial Police Chief Nerio Bermudo with Bukidnon Online today.
The police chief said that thirty Bukidnon cops have already been sent to Maguindanao before the start of 2010. The remaining 30 are still at Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City, awaiting further instructions.
The reassignment of these police officers from Bukidnon was reportedly ordered by the national police headquarters.
When asked of the reason for the reassignment, the police chief said that the Bukidnon policemen may be tapped to help secure areas in Maguindanao and also to help in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, reports from Cagayan de Oro City state that roughly 200 cops from Maguindanao will be deployed to various areas in Northern Mindanao including CDO, Bukidnon, Camiguin and Lanao.
