San Miguel Beer to sponsor Urbandub concert on March 9, 2009
KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2009 UPDATES, MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – Beer brewery giant San Miguel Beer (SMB) is set to bring over to Bukidnon’s Kaamulan Festival 2009 the award-winning Cebuano band “Urbandub.”
The SMB-sponsored concert will take place on March 9, 2009, 6 PM at the Capitol Stage, Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Local bands, including this year’s winner of the Kaamulan Jam 2009 Lock and Load Battle of the Bands, “The Jam” band, will also rock the house on the evening of March 9.
San Miguel Beer generously sponsored the Kaamulan Jam 2009, which took place from February 23 to 28, 2009.
Urbandub, composed of Gabby Alipe (Vocalist/Guitarist), Lalay Lim (Bassist), John Mendoza (Drummer) and John Dinopol (Lead Guitarist), is best known for their hit singles, “Soul Searching,” “Evidence,” “Come” and “A New Tattoo.” Their second album entitled “Influence” was awarded “Album of the Year” in 2004 by NU 107 Rock Awards.
Their most recent album, “Under Southern Lights,” has also gained critical acclaim with the release of “Evidence” and “Guillotine.” The album was released in 2007 by EMI Music Philippines.
This March 9, 2009 gig of Urbandub is their second. The band first played at the Barangay 9 Gymnasium, Malaybalay City a few months before the release of their very first album.
