New Valencia City market pegged at P220.5 Million
VALENCIA CITY | CONTROVERSIAL | BUSINESS | CONSUMER – The new central market in Valencia City, Bukidnon is reportedly pegged at P220.5 million.
Re-electionist Valencia City Mayor Leandro Catarata said that the upcoming Valencia City Public Market will be funded by the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).
Re-electionist Valencia City Councilor Atty. Oliver Owen Garcia, meanwhile, said that there are two bidders so far for the said project.
Garcia said that the government may award the project to the winning bidder by the end of this month.
The soon-to-rise Valencia City market will reportedly be a two-storey structure.
As soon as the project will be awarded, the winning contractor is supposedly set to start work soonest and if possible, before March 2010.
This piece of news comes after the December 27, 2009 fire that hit the area where the market is supposed to be erected.
