Three-term Bukidnon congressman and former Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri has launched his senatorial bid in the Province of Bukidnon. In a recently concluded caucus in Malaybalay City, Zubiri sought support from more than 5,000 Bukidnon community leaders.

Migs Zubiri is running as an independent but is a guest candidate of the Grace Poe – Chiz Escudero tandem. The Poe-Escudero team is running under the banner of Partido Galing at Puso.

Launching his bid in Bukidnon is a strategic move by Zubiri, as the province ranks among the country’s second-tier vote-rich provinces with 749,526 registered voters.

The Pulse Asia survey conducted from January 24 to 28, 2016 showed that Zubiri placed 6th.
