Bukidnon 3rd District Congressman Manuel “Manoy” Zubiri filed on October 12, 2021 House Bill 10377 establishing an oxygen production facility in the Municipality of Maramag, Bukidnon.

Zubiri’s bill states that the oxygen production facility will harness, produce and store medical-grade oxygen, which can then be provided to hospitals and clinics for a reasonable fee.

The said facility will be managed by the Maramag LGU. The Department of Health will assist in the maintenance and operation in order to ensure medical-grade quality.

In his explanatory note, the Bukidnon solon, who is also gunning for the gubernatorial seat in the upcoming May 2022 elections, said that there is an immediate need to establish an oxygen production facility especially since the pandemic will not be over soon.

Zubiri also said that the shortage of oxygen tanks and supplies was an eye-opener for the government to have proper facilities.

Previously, Zubiri told Bukidnon Online that he will do his “very best for the people of Bukidnon and for Our Almighty.”
