Malaybalay’s Finest Artists (MAFIA) organized
MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – A group composed of various bands from the City of Malaybalay and neighboring areas has recently been organized.
Dubbed “Malaybalay’s Finest Artists (MAFIA),” the group aims to promote the local music industry and provide support to local music artists.
Group organizer Erik Dave “Dodoi” Beltran told Bukidnon Online that the initial members of MAFIA include the bands Centro, The Mo, Aninos Dos, Fuzz Mena, Kidnon, Bloodlust, Crossroads, Karcinoma, Eruption, DEX, Guinea, Skunk and The Circle of Fear.
Beltran said that event organizers or producers can just easily tap MAFIA and the group can send bands to perform or to serve as front acts during concerts.
MAFIA’s grand launching is in the works. Also included in the group’s initial plans are a CD compilation of the local bands’ original songs as well as recording opportunities. (Bukidnon News / Bukidnon Music / Bukidnon Features)
