Malaybalay LGU establishes screening area
The Malaybalay City government has opened Friday at the City Covered Court (Malaybalay Freedom Park) its Enhanced Screening Area which aims to cater to local residents who experience common colds, cough, fever and diarrhea.
The Triage will be open from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday. This initiative, according to the Malaybalay City communications team, will “decongest the hospitals from non-COVID-19 outpatient services and, at the same time, correct medical care and information will be given to patients who suspect they have the COVID-19 symptoms.” Patients will also be made aware of protocols of home care.
Malaybalay residents are the only ones who can avail of the services at the said ESA. Residents are also reminded to only avail of the services if they have cough, colds, fever, diarrhea and other simple respiratory concerns. Other medical concerns will be referred to hospitals.
Various physicians from the Malaybalay Polymedic General Hospital, St. Jude Thaddeus Hospital and Malaybalay Medical Hospital will join the City Health doctors and health service providers in conducting outpatient consultations at the ESA.
