Iya Villania to join Bamboo on Saturday Kaamulan Festival 2009 gig

BUKIDNON KAAMULAN FESTIVAL 2009 UPDATES – “Us Girls” and “ASAP Mania” host Iya Villania will also be a part of the Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri-sponsored concert this Saturday, March 7, 2009, 6 PM at the Capitol Stage, Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Villania is also best known for her work as a VJ for the Myx Channel. She’s currently promoting her first album entitled “Finally.”

Bukidnon Online earlier reported that the popular band Bamboo will topbill the Saturday show, which is held in line with the Kaamulan Festival 2009 celebration.

Bamboo band, composed of Bamboo Manalac, Ira Cruz, Nathan Azarcon and Vic Mercado, is best known for the hit singles “Noypi,” “Hallelujah,” “Tatsulok” (revival from an original Buklod song) and their latest offering, “Kailan.”

After the Bamboo-Iya Villania show, a fireworks display will also be held at the Capitol Grounds.

The yearly Kaamulan Festival is an ethnic festival featuring Bukidnon’s seven hill tribes namely the Bukidnon, Matigsalug, Talaandig, Higaonon, Umayamnon and Tigwahanon.

On March 10, 2009, the Province of Bukidnon will also celebrate its 92nd Foundation Anniversary.
