A special gala will be held this weekend to honor members of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community in Bukidnon District 2. The red carpet will be rolled out on March 23, 2019 in Malaybalay City.

The gala, which will feature a Queen of Bukidnon Fashion Walk competition and a special appearance of actor, model and singer Vin Abrenica, is organized by the Malaybalay Youth Catalysts, with support from Bukidnon District 2 Congressional candidate Atty. John Flores.

“Our LGBT friends are vibrant and talented. They play a pivotal role in society and it’s but right that we celebrate their voice, their uniqueness,” Flores said.

Flores, who is running for the Bukidnon District 2 congressional seat, is the son of Doc Boy Flores, who is gunning for the Malaybalay City mayoralty seat. Atty. John Flores is the official candidate of PDP Laban, President Rodrigo Duterte’s political party.

Meanwhile, Vin Abrenica of “Wildflower” fame, will make a special appearance during the event. Vin, the brother of Aljur Abrenica, won the Artista Academy reality-based talent search show.
