Frequent Bukidnon to Iligan travelers – rejoice! You can now skip Cagayan de Oro if you need to travel from Iligan City to Bukidnon. This is now possible with the Sta. Sta. Felomina – Bonbonon – Digkilaan – Rogongon Road.

According to DPWH Region X, travel time from Bukidnon to Iligan or Iligan to Bukidnon is now lessened by at least 2 hours.

“This 60.40 kilometer road section in Iligan City is part of the Mindanao East-West Lateral Road that involves opening and concreting of roads with cross drainage, safety road improvements and lined canal,” according to DPWH’s announcement.

The primary road serves as the connection between Iligan City and the municipality of Talakag in the Province of Bukidnon.

As of this writing, this new road can already be used by the public. However, there are still some areas that remain unpaved.
