Innovations for Poverty Action, a non-profit research institution that scientifically evaluates microfinance products and other development initiatives in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, needs a survey enumerator. There is a job opening for one surveyor position located in the Malaybalay area. Employment will be on a project-based contract, starting in May 2011 and lasting until the completion of the survey. The survey will last until at least August 1, 2011, with the possibility of extension for one year or longer.

Tasks/Responsibilities:
Conducting time-sensitive field surveys;
Locate survey respondents using only the home address, business address, name, and cellphone number of potential respondents.
Gathering and reporting high-quality, accurate data.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences or management;
Excellent communication skills in English;
Fluency in Tagalog;
Fluency in Bisaya;
Excellent organizational/administrative skills;
Field experience with surveys;
Ability to work independently;
Willingness to travel extensively within Bukidnon Province;
Excellent familiarity with Malaybalay and the surrounding area.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Social & Counselling Service or equivalent.
Full-Time positions available.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and/or good familiarity with economics/social science research;
Experience working with survey teams
