Pacquiao Breaks Silence After Survey, Vows to Champion the Poor in Senate Comeback
Boxing icon and senatorial hopeful Manny Pacquiao broke his silence on Thursday following the release of a new national survey showing him entering the coveted “Magic 12” list of top candidates for the 2025 midterm elections.
In an interview with reporters, Pacquiao expressed heartfelt gratitude for the continued support and trust of the Filipino people.
“I’m deeply thankful to be part of the Magic 12 and for the support shown in the survey. It means a lot that our people still believe in my capacity to serve,” Pacquiao said.

He added that while the survey results are encouraging, he’s not taking anything for granted. Pacquiao said he intends to make the most of the remaining campaign days to deliver his message, connect with communities, listen to people’s concerns, and present a legislative agenda centered on poverty alleviation, sports development, free education for youth, affordable healthcare and housing for the poor.
“Surveys are just temporary snapshots. What truly matters is proving to the people that I’m serious about helping — not just talk, but real action,” he emphasized.
Pacquiao said he is determined to push for clear, actionable policies that will attract voters seeking concrete platforms rather than popularity.
“I came from nothing, and I will never forget where I came from. My fight is for the poor. I’ve lived through their struggles, and I want to be their voice in the Senate — louder, stronger, and more focused,” Pacquiao added.
His campaign’s emphasis on grassroots connection and his return to familiar communities have helped strengthen his position as one of the frontrunners in the senatorial race.
“To those who continue to believe in me, thank you. And to the doubters, I will work even harder to earn your trust. With God’s help, we will fight until the final round of this campaign. I want you to hear my message and my plans,” he concluded.
