Bukidnon airport phase 1 construction 98 percent complete

Despite the global health crisis, preparations for the most-awaited Bukidnon airport, located at Don Carlos, Bukidnon, are still underway. In fact, Phase 1 is now 98 percent complete.

Don Carlos Municipal Mayor Victoria Pizarro announced recently during a briefing with Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar that the engineering works for the Bukidnon airport project are almost complete.

Phases 2 and 3 for the airport development will also soon take place.

She said that the relocation of affected families is also almost complete. Reportedly, at least 50 indigenous families are said to be affected by this airport in Bukidnon project.

Pizarro also said that to complement the upcoming airport, the municipal LGU also has plans to improve services and infrastructure including 6-lane roads, installation of street lights, closed circuit televisions and construction of a commercial mall.
