BIR files case against Bonseta’s Fun Fun Ride Adventure Park in Talakag Bukidnon owner
The Bureau of Internal Revenue or (BIR) has filed a criminal complaint against the owner of an adventure park in Talakag, Bukidnon. According to a news report, BIR has filed a case against Bonseta’s Fun Fun Ride Adventure Park owner Renie Guiguio Jipos for operating several businesses without proper registrations.
In a statement released Wednesday, the BIR said Jipos is facing 7 counts of Unlawful Pursuit of Business in violation of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997.
“(Mr. Jipos) is the sole proprietor of Bonseta’s Fun Fun Ride Adventure Park, Princes (sic) Marie Convenience Store, and Nycha Water Refilling Station located at Talakag, Bukidnon” which were discovered to have been operating “since 2017 without prior registration with the BIR and without payment of the annual registration fees as required by the Tax Code.”
As of this writing, Bonseta’s public/social media accounts do not contain any responses to the cases filed by the BIR. Instead, their latest announcement was only about their “station 2, waterfalls and kayak adventure” being temporarily closed.
According to reports, BIR’s case stemmed from a customer complaint about alleged unauthorized and unregistered receipt for a Php 50 entrance fee to the adventure park. When one checks Bonseta’s Talakag Facebook page, one can see several complaints including about the Php 50 entrance fee.
Bonseta’s is located at the Aglayan – Alanib – Ticalaan Rd, Talakag, Bukidnon. The park, which apparently is about 1 and a half hours away from Talakag proper, has life-sized superhero figures, a playground, several cottages, hanging bridge, train, restaurant and a view deck.
Have you been to Bonseta’s? What do you think about the park?
