SUMILAO BUKIDNON | BUKIDNON NEWS | CRIME BUKIDNON – Authorities in Bukidnon seized shabu-making chemicals from 6 people Thursday night. Bukidnon police arrested the 6 suspects in Sumilao, Bukidnon.

Northern Mindanao police chief Danilo Empedrad was quoted as saying that the suspects were aboard 4 Isuzu trucks loaded with shabu-making ingredients when intercepted by members of the Sumilao Police Station at a checkpoint in Barangay San Vicente around 10:45 p.m.

Reports say that the suspects came from Cagayan de Oro City and were enroute to Wao, Lanao del Sur.

Wao is near Kibawe, Bukidnon, which is at the southernmost part of Bukidnon.

The shabu making chemicals reportedly included acetone, ephedrine, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, activated carbon and phosphorous. Ephedrine is the main ingredient for making methamphetamine hydrochloride, famously called shabu.

Sumilao police operatives have detained the still unnamed suspects.
