Php 115 M Bulacao to Laligan Valencia Bukidnon road done

Now, ferrying goods will be easier for residents of Concepcion and Laligan, Valencia City, Bukidnon. The Php 115 million worth of farm-to-market road (FMR) in Sitio Bulacao, Concepcion to Junction Laligan in Valencia, Bukidnon has already been completed.

Valencia City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas led the ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 15. She was assisted by Department of Agriculture (DA) 10 Regional Director Carlene Collado and a representative of MMEI Construction.

Azucena said a big chunk of the fund used for the project was a grant from the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).

“The Php 11 million of the budget is the counterpart of the city government of Valencia. In Bukidnon, only Valencia and Damulog town are recipients of the program,” Huervas said.

The newly concreted project has a total length of 6.7 kms. Huervas added that they will set aside a rough addition of Php 6 million for the concretion of the remaining several meters that would connect the road to Brgy. Laligan proper. (report by Bukidnon Online special correspondent Mel Madera)
