Bukidnon joins nationwide US Embassy YOUnified anniversary
Bukidnon will be one of the 20 communities across the Philippines that will celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the Young South East Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) on Saturday, December 12, 2015.
Led by the US Government alumni – Bukidnon chapter, the YSEALI YOUnified Bukidnon event will see the attendance of youth leaders from all over Bukidnon. The youth participants will discuss the importance of volunteerism and how they can be civically engaged in light of pressing social and regional concerns such as climate change, poverty, child malnutrition and the upcoming 2016 elections.
The YOUnified Bukidnon participants will also head to Camp Moriah Orphanage.
The YSEALI is a network of more than 100,000 youth leaders across South East Asia working to solve common regional issues. On December 12, 2015, 20 cities will simultaneously commemorate the event with youth-led activities like leadership trainings, coastal clean-up drives and development campaigns.
The main event will be held at Nayong Pilipino (formerly Orchidarium), Rizal Park, Manila with over 1,000 expected attendees. Starting 2:00 pm, there will be exhibits, performances, games, short talks and live reports from the other cities celebrating YSEALI YOUnified. The event will be capped off with a concert in partnership with the National Youth Commission.
