Twitter and Smart Communications have teamed up to offer FREE and unlimited access to popular social networking app Twitter on mobile phones from January 15 to 19, 2015. This is part of Smart’s public service in time for the much-awaited visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines.

All 69 million prepaid and postpaid subscribers of Smart, Sun Cellular and Talk ‘N Text are qualified to avail of the FREE Twitter service. Now, it’s possible to follow the Pope’s Twitter account (@Pontifex), send wishes and prayers to the Pope using #DearPopeFrancis hashtag, and get real-time updates on the much anticipated apostolic and state visit of Pope Francis in the Philippines.

To avail of the service, subscribers just need to text DEARPOPE and send to 9999.
