Power interruption in Bukidnon today

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has served the notice of the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities today, Sept. 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Thus, it has advised the general public to take the necessary preparations and precautions during the power interruption, Atty. Cynthia Perez-Alabanza of the NGCP Communications Group said.

Alabanza added that this is due to the annual preventive maintenance of the Tagoloan Substation’s 100- MVA Power Transformer No. 2 and its associated high voltage equipment.

Customers affected by this power interuption are the Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company (CEPALCO) in Misamis Oriental and the Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative, Inc. (BUSECO) in Bukidnon,

The affected areas are parts of Cagayan de Oro City supplied by the CEPALCO Metering Point M3 and

those supplied by BUSECO Metering Point M1, particularly, the towns of Malitbog, Manolo Fortich, Libona, Sumilao, Baungon and Impasugong.

Alabanza said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. (NGCP/PIA-10)
