NPA bomb factory discovered in Kitaotao, Bukidnon
KITAOTAO, BUKIDNON – This is really pretty worrisome news. According to a Manila Bulletin report, army operatives have discovered a bomb factory in Kitaotao, Bukidnon, allegedly maintained by the New People’s Army (NPA) rebels. The army made the discovery last Saturday, August 29, 2015, following reports by concerned local villagers.
Army officers under the Eighth Infantry Battalion (8th IB) of the 403rd Infantry Brigade found an M16 armalite rifle, several .45 pistols, 6 improvised explosive devices (IED), 60 blasting caps, 900 meters of detonating cord, eight IED molders, anti-government documents with high intelligence value, an NPA flag, one-half kilo of sulfur powder and several other bomb materials.
The news report didn’t specify which barangay in Kitaotao the items were found.
