Migs Zubiri now officially a part of UNA senatorial slate

Well, there you go. Resigned senator and former Bukidnon congressman Juan Miguel Zubiri is now officially a part of the UNA senatorial slate. UNA or the United Nationalist Alliance is a coalition of various political parties including former President Erap Estrada’s Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino and Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III’s PDP Laban.

This recent development means that Migs Zubiri may or may not run alongside Pimentel this coming 2013 elections. We say “may not” because there may be a possibility that Pimentel may leave the UNA slate and join forces with the admin’s Liberal Party. Or Pimentel may choose to stay with UNA and “honor” party coalition agreements. Let’s wait and see.

Do you guys still remember that letter Senator Pimentel sent to Erap, asking him to drop Zubiri from the slate? In that letter, Pimentel said that the former Bukidnon Third District congressman benefited from electoral fraud and thereby “robbed” him of 4 years. Check out that letter HERE
