Malaybalay barangay kagawad slain by riding-in-tandem suspects
A Malaybalay City barangay kagawad was recently killed by riding-in-tandem suspects.
According to news reports, Ruel “Mawi” Romeo, a barangay kagawad serving Barangay Sumpong in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon was shot by the riding-in-tandem suspects.
The crime occurred at Purok 3, Fortich Street.
Romeo was 48 and incurred a gunshot wound on his body.
Authorities say that one of the suspects, who wore a bonnet, shot the barangay council man before riding back on the motorcycle.
The motive for the shooting is still unknown.
