Flores, 2 more Bukidnon solons ask NGCP for additional power substation

Bukidnon 2nd District Congressman Atty. John Flores said that he asked the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to expedite the construction of an additional sub-station in Malaybalay City, the capital of Bukidnon.

On a post on his official Facebook page, Flores explained that “like any growing community, the Province of Bukidnon also has an increasing need for reliable power supply. The existing Maramag-Malaybalay 69 kV transmission line has had numerous problems and it is high time we demand the best service, the only kind of service we deserve.”

The 47-kilometer Maramag-Malaybalay transmission line is where Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative (BUSECO) and First Bukidnon Electric Cooperative (FIBECO) are connected.

Flores said that NGCP’s sole function and responsibility is to “provide additional substations.”

The neophyte Bukidnon solon said that Bukidnon Congressmen Malou Acosta-Alba (1st District) and ONeil Roque (4th District) also co-signed his letter to NGCP. Alba and Roque are Flores’ co-partymates under the Nacionalista Party.

“I am grateful for their support towards this crucial step that will allow progress, development, and, consequently, peace. Please help strengthen this call by sharing and discussing this with your family, friends and own network. Let’s always keep in mind that your voice is powerful,” Flores said.
