Three ladies will represent Bukidnon in the Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Northern Mindanao leg. Along with 9 other candidates, the 3 were formally introduced to the public last December 16, 2016 at a mall in Cagayan de Oro.

The winner will represent Northern Mindanao in the national Miss Philippines Earth 2017 beauty pageant.

Miss Earth is an annual international environmental-themed beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals.

Alyssa Dae Virador of Malaybalay City

Carmella Quirog of Manolo Fortich

Maria Angelica Mugot of Malaybalay City

Miss Earth winners address issues concerning the environment and other global issues through school tours, tree planting activities, street campaigns, coastal clean ups, speaking engagements, shopping mall tours, media guesting, environmental fair, storytelling programs, eco-fashion shows, and other environmental activities.
