Cudal announced this during the MSME and One Town One Project (OTOP) forum held today, July 10, 2009 at a local restaurant here in Malaybalay City.

According to Cudal, Zubiri made the pledge 3 years ago. Cudal said that the money would have provided a big boost to the local business community especially to the micro, small and medium enterprises based in Bukidnon.

“Remind him of his pledge,” Cudal told his fellow entrepreneurs, adding that they’re hoping the governor could release the funds before next year’s elections.

Zubiri was a no show in today’s event. Provincial Administrator Romeo Cardoza represented him.

Roughly 150 entrepreneurs from all over Bukidnon attended the event.

The forum was sponsored by, among others, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon and Bukidnon SMED Council.

The forum was held in line with the weeklong MSME Development Week celebration. The nationwide celebration carries the theme, “Negosyo…Kaya Mo” (MISA / Bukidnon News)
