Another veteran in the Bukidnon political scene and a highly regarded Datu / Lumad has passed away. Manuel “Maning” Dinlayan, who previously served as Malaybalay City councilor and most recently as Board Member of the Second District of the Province of Bukidnon, has died. Dinlayan died a month and two days after his last birthday.

Since the news of Dinlayan’s death, there has been an outpouring of messages of sympathy and support for the bereaved family.

Rest in peace, sir. I have had numerous personal encounters with you and all of those were pleasant. You were definitely one of the good ones.
