Kibawe farmer arrested due to alleged rape of underage daughter
A 41 year old farmer from Kibawe, Bukidnon was taken into custody for the alleged sexual abuse of his 17 year old daughter, a minor.
The Police Regional Office Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) reported that authorities apprehended the suspect based on an arrest warrant charging him with two counts of qualified rape and two counts of sexual assault.
While the court denied bail for the rape charges, it set bail at Php 100,000 for each sexual assault count.
According to PRO-10, the alleged incidents occurred during nighttime in March and May 2025. Initially, the victim remained silent due to reported threats from the suspect, but she eventually disclosed the abuse to her mother.
The accused remains in police detention.
“Combating crimes against women and children stands among our highest priorities. We urge the community to stay alert and collaborate with us to ensure perpetrators face justice,” stated PRO-10 Director Rolindo Suguilon.
