FREE concert aims to raise funds to buy seedlings for watershed

A FREE concert will be held on October 12, 2019, 2 PM to 10 PM at the Capitol Grounds, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. The said event aims to raise funds to buy abaca seedlings and bamboo grass for the Malaybalay watershed in Kibalabag.

A joint project of the Provincial Government of Bukidnon and of JCI Bukidnon Century, led by newly-elected President Erik Dave “Doy” Beltran, “Trees for the Watershed” will feature talented bands and other artists.

Tents will be pitched and concertgoers are highly encouraged to buy food and drinks from various concessionaires as part of the fundraising event.

Tattoo artists and a t-shirt printing service will also be available for commissioned work.

Although the concert is open to the public, concertgoers are also highly encouraged to donate any amount that can help the purchase of the seedlings. A donation box will be placed at the venue.

Business establishments, private individuals etc that wish to donate can also send a message HERE.

Some of the bands that will perform on October 12, 2019 include fan favorites Skunk and The Mo, Battle Royale, Hide and Seek, Aninos Dos, Inside City, Seekers, Luna, MCWD, Skilltune, Sagip Dalagita Production, Postmortem, Yoamz, Barrio, Tonto, Duces and Manong Lloyd.

JCI Bukidnon Century President Doy Beltran said that the musical fundraising event is just the beginning of a long list of community service events that he intends to do under his leadership.

“Through this event, not only do we want to bring everyone together for a fun-filled day of music but we also want to underline the importance of volunteerism and service to others,” he said.

“Trees for the Watershed” is also proudly supported by Bukidnon Online and Mushroom City Bukidnon Mushrooms.
