BUKIDNON NEWS | BUKIDNON ONLINE | POLITICS – Cannot help but think about this — will Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III garner a lot of votes in Bukidnon in next year’s elections?

Just recently, former Senator Juan Miguel “Migs” Zubiri has decided to join the Erap-Binay coalition slate.

This means that the former Senator from Bukidnon will run under one banner alongside his political foe, Senator Koko Pimentel.

Pimentel, on the other hand, is still reluctant to have Zubiri in their slate.

He has repeatedly said that he does not feel comfortable campaigning alongside Zubiri. Zubiri, for his part, has also repeatedly said that he has extended his hand of reconciliation to Pimentel. He was quoted in some news reports as saying: “Let’s move on.”

And now, just recently, Pimentel has urged the Department of Justice (DOJ) to include Zubiri as a respondent in the electoral sabotage case filed against several people in connection with the alleged cheating in Maguindanao during the 2007 midterm elections.

Senator Koko Pimentel, who also chairs the Senate committee on electoral reforms, wants Zubiri to be formally charged before the courts.
