The Valencia City Bukidnon health office held a free prostate cancer screening last June 20, 2015 at the city health office. This, in observance of the Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Valencia Bukidnon health officer Dr. Marlyn Agbayani led the screening tests alongside urologists Dr. Adonis Latayan and Dr. John Mark Aycayera.

Seventy nine patients availed of the free prostate cancer screening.

Prostate cancer continues to be one of the top illnesses affecting males. Some symptoms include difficulty in starting urination, painful ejaculation, weak or interrupted flow of urine, frequent urination, difficulty emptying the bladder completely, pain or burning sensation during urination, blood in the urine or semen, pain felt on the back, hips, or pelvis.
