A total of 132 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) of the Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (PDRC) have been inoculated against Covid-19. The vaccination was held inside the PDRC compound at Sitio Natid-asan, Brgy. Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on August 19, 2021.

Nelson Rocky A. Balaba, PDRC Assistant Warden, said 132 of the PDL have received their 1st dose of Sinovac vaccine. The recipients were composed of senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and trustees comprised of 17 females and 115 males. They are part of the current 1,011 PDLs inside the PDRC.

Bukidnon Governor Jose Ma. R. Zubiri Jr. said that he aims for all PDRC employees and jail guards to also be inoculated to prevent them from virus carriers.

The PDRC management has extended their request to the City Health Office (CHO) of Malaybalay for the allocation of additional vaccines for the remaining unvaccinated detainees.
