Two-hectare marijuana plantation found in Cabanglasan Bukidnon
A two-hectare marijuana plantation was discovered Saturday in Sitio Lulobong, Barangay Canangaan, Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, reports say. The marijuana plantation is said to be the biggest one discovered in Northern Mindanao.
Members of the Philippine Army’s 403rd Infantry Brigade based in Bukidnon together with agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) discovered the two hectare marijuana plantation.
The army allege that the New People’s Army (NPA) Front Committee 89 is the one “protecting” and “maintaining” the said plantation. Authorities say that the income derived from the marijuana plantation may have been used by the rebel group.
