Two bus companies enter Bukidnon market
Following that unfortunate bus bombing incident in Maramag that left 10 people dead including students of Central Mindanao University, various security measures around the province of Bukidnon have been introduced. There have also been efforts to lift the moratorium on just allowing Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc (RTMI) to solely operate in the province.
People can now see the results as two bus companies are either set to enter the Bukidnon market or do a major “comeback.”
According to DXGT Radyo Abante’s Mars Medina, Davao Metro Shuttle Bus will soon operate in Bukidnon. Their intended routes: Davao to Cagayan de Oro via BuDa and Davao to CDO via San Fernando.
Meanwhile, you may have already noticed the presence of several Super Five buses. These relatively newer looking buses even sport various colors (as opposed to RTMI’s uniform red), as you can see in the photo below:
Hopefully, the presence of these two additional bus companies can also result in better customer service and healthy competition among the bus operators.
