The leader of a notorious robbery gang was arrested and one of its gang members got killed today. This, following an encounter with authorities at the Municipality of Talakag, Bukidnon.

Roque Luminda, the gang leader, is the fifth most wanted person in Northern Mindanao. A P200,000 bounty is at stake for his arrest.

On Friday, police served Luminda a warrant of arrest. The alleged robbery gang leader fought back, however, and an encounter took place. Luminda sustained wounds at the back of his body. One of Luminda’s co-gang members, a certain Orlando Salino, died of a single gunshot wound on the chest.
