The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman of Barangay Simaya, Malaybalay City, was recently nabbed in a drug buy-bust operation, according to Bukidnon police operatives.

Philip James Janio, 23 years old, and the Simaya SK Chairman, was caught by Valencia City authorities. Janio, a new and first-time father, is also a 4th year Criminology student and was supposed to graduate in a few weeks’ time.

Authorities say that Janio has been considered a “high-value target” for a while now.

Police operatives also caught Janio’s companion during the buy-bust operation, a certain Larkyn Balistoy. The 34 year old Balistoy, a resident of Kisanday, Maramag, Bukidnon, opted to avail of a plea bargaining agreement.
