SIKAT solar powered car team spends night in Malaybalay City Bukidnon
MALAYBALAY CITY | BUKIDNON NEWS – Bukidnon Online just learned that the team behind the SIKAT solar powered car spent the night in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon! Wow, welcome to Bukidnon, guys! I know that the solar powered car and the team behind it is on a nationwide tour (I missed its visit to the Ateneo de Davao University by just a few hours, darnit!) and I’m glad to know that they traversed the road from Davao to Cagayan de Oro via Bukidnon.
SIKAT reportedly made a stop at Maramag, Bukidnon, too 🙂
SIKAT is the 2nd solar powered car developed by Filipino inventors. SIKAT is developed by the Philippine Solar Car Society.
Working together with students from the De La Salle University, the Society funded the completion of Sinag, the first Philippine Solar Car to the World Solar Challenge (WSC)in2007. Sinag continued on to win the 12th place in the WSC.
For those of you who missed SIKAT’s brief stop in Bukidnon, you can also see it up close today, Sunday, January 31, 2010 at SM City CDO. SIKAT will also be at Xavier University on February 1, 2010.
This will definitely be a good time for schools in Bukidnon to have that fun educational trip!
