Preparations for Aldaw Ta Malaybalay 2009 activities underway
MALAYBALAY CITY, BUKIDNON – Preparations are now underway for this year’s Aldaw Ta Malaybalay (Araw ng Malaybalay) celebration.
Bukidnon Online learned this from both the offices of Malaybalay City Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. and Malaybalay City Vice Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri.
The 132nd Aldaw Ta Malaybalay festivities are set to take place from June 1 to 13, 2009.
This year’s Aldaw Ta Malaybalay 2009 chairman is Vice Mayor Zubiri.
Flores said that among the proposed activities are sports tournaments (chess, bowling, billiards, dart and volleyball), marathon and a Battle of the Bands competition.
Zubiri, meanwhile, told Bukidnon Online that other proposed activities include a skateboarding competition, an inter-LGU badminton tournament, a bike competition, an open hiphop dance contest, a hack fight and a concert that’s set to be topbilled by top Manila artists.
For those interested to join the various activities, please coordinate with the following point persons – for the Battle of the Bands contest and hiphop dance competition, contact SK Chairman Niko Aldeguer; for the marathon, contact Councilor Fernando Melendez; for the bike competition, contact Mr. Alex Abregana; for the hack fight, contact Mr. Roger Mier.
Meanwhile, a very special band concert and warehouse party in one will be held on June 9, 2009 at the City Covered Court (Freedom Park). Stay tuned for more details.
