Malaybalay frontliners receive PPEs, alcohol
The frontliners of Malaybalay City, capital of Bukidnon, recently received sets of personal protective equipment (PPEs) and alcohol from Kaanib Foundation in partnership with Childfund Philippines. The donation was made under their BUILDCA²P Project.
Key Malaybalay City government officials, employees and frontliners gathered at the City Covered Court in Brgy. 4 to witness the turnover and distribution ceremonies of the donated items.
A total of 100 pieces of face shields, 100 boxes of surgical masks, 400 pieces of cloth face masks, and 50 gallons of alcohol were donated. The items are intended for the use of Malaybalay City frontliners especially those who are manning the operations at the Enhanced Screening Area (ESA) located at the City Covered Court.
Roberto T. Flores, Executive Assistant V, thanked the frontliners for their sacrifice, service and untiring effort since the onset of the pandemic.
Flores also commended Dr. Dennis Sanggalang, chairperson of the local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), for efficiently running the ESA, which was initiated by Malaybalay Mayor Florencio Flores, Jr.
Representative and coordinator of Childfund Philippines Alvin Dumduma thanked the Malaybalay LGU for the unwavering support and accommodation given to them.
“The children and families will be more protected because the frontliners are also protected with proper PPEs in our fight with the virus,” he said. (Report by Bukidnon Online special correspondent Mel B. Madera with additional infos from LGU Malaybalay Administrative Office)
