Malaybalay City minor caught with foreigner in a motel
A minor from Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, who reportedly ran away from home, was caught in a motel with a foreigner. The foreigner, an American named Anthony Bruce Mallet, was arrested May 1, 2017 after he was caught checking in a motel at Barangay Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro with the 13 year old.
Mallet, who is married to a Filipina, denied that he molested a minor, insisting that the girl is turning 19. Mallet is accordingly a long time resident of Cagayan de Oro and lives in Calaanan.
Authorities said that upon interviewing the unnamed minor, the suspect only gave her Php 600 instead of the agreed-upon amount of Php 1,500.
