LTFRB orders uniform bus fares for RTMI, Pabama and Super 5
The regional office of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered the 3 bus companies that serve the Bukidnon-Cagayan de Oro route to make their bus fares uniform. The order was issued last December 1, 2016 but the bus companies asked for leeway; therefore, the order is only expected to be followed starting today, December 5, 2016.
A news report written by Bukidnon Online’s friend Gerry Gorit on The Philippine Star stated that Super 5, Pabama and Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. have all agreed to make their bus fares uniform/the same.
The order was issued so as to prevent unfair competition among the companies.
The Bukidnon-CDO bus fares are now as follows:
Cagayan de Oro to Malaybalay (and vice versa)
Regular fare – Php 150
Special privilege rate (students and senior citizens) – Php 120
Cagayan de Oro to Valencia (and vice versa)
Regular fare – Php 200
Special privilege rate – Php 160
Cagayan de Oro – Maramag (and vice versa)
Regular fare – Php 240
Special rate – Php 190
